Beignet Mix Recipes


Beignet MixStart with ½ cup of mix.

Begin adding water (a small amount at a time) while mixing until batter has a semi-thick consistency.

Drop by ½ Tbsp into hot 400 degree at least 1 ¼” deep.

To make genuine New Orleans style, thicken batter to dough-like consistency, then flour and roll to 3/8” thickness, then cut in desired shapes and sizes.

Let golden brown beignets cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.

You can add pecan meal, bits of peach, banana, blueberries, etc., to batter if desired.
