Spoonbread Mix Recipes

Melt 2/3 cup butter in 2 cups water (can be done in microwave or on stove). Ensure you bring butter/water mixture to a low boil.

Add hot butter/water into 1 ½ cups of mix and mix with a large wire whisk.

Add 3 large eggs and whisk mixture together.

Mix in 1 ½ cups milk (1 1/4 cup of 2% or 1% milk, 1 cup of fat-free milk).

Stir until smooth.

Pour into greased 9”x9”x1 ¼” pan and bake at 425 degrees until golden brown (about 40 - 45 minutes).
