Sweet Potato Biscuit Mix Recipes |
Put 1 cup of mix into a large mixing bowl or food processor and add 3 Tbsp softened butter, cutting the butter in the mix until it becomes grainy (1/8” particles).
Add ½ cup of milk, stir well, and place bowl aside for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle a little flour onto a flat surface (bread board, cutting board, etc.).
Spoon half of the dough onto board and flatten with a rolling pin (or the palm of your hand) until it is approximately ¼” thick.
Cut out biscuits with a 1 ½” round cutter or glass (keep all surfaces floured to prevent sticking).
Place biscuits on baking sheet and bake at 400o F for 10 minutes.
Finish browning under broiler.
These biscuits freeze beautifully. Just pop them in the microwave on high for 15 seconds (10 seconds if not frozen).
